Different Bear Markets over Time

This link here is old but I think it gives a pretty good comparison of the severity of crisis through time.

It is really amazing how big the Great Depression was. It must have been tough to live it through...

  1. My interpretation to the graph is that 1937 was worst that 1929 and 2000 worst than now.

    The question here is: What is worst, the depth or the length? When depth are close, length starts to play a big role.

    Maybe the 1937 was not as deep as 1929, but the agony of 62 months of crisis can be worst than 34.
